Prim’s 19 help Texas A&M-CC defeat Lamar 79-71

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas (AP) — Dayne Prim had 19 points in Texas A&M-CC’s 79-71 win against Lamar on Saturday night.

Prim also contributed seven rebounds for the Islanders (14-8, 7-2 Southland Conference). Tedrick Washington Jr. scored 17 points while going 4 of 9 from the floor, including 4 for 8 from 3-point range, and 5 for 7 from the line, and added three steals. Jordan Roberts shot 5 for 12, including 3 for 5 from beyond the arc to finish with 15 points.

Terry Anderson finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds and three steals for the Cardinals (12-10, 6-3). Adam Hamilton added 14 points and three blocks for Lamar. In addition, BB Knight finished with 11 points.

Both teams play again on Saturday. Texas A&M-CC visits McNeese and Lamar hosts Nicholls State.
